From microwaves to Wi-Fi to cell phones, there is radiation around us in our everyday lives. But have you thought about the possible harms of radiation? Microwave radiation can be extremely harmful if you stand in front of the microwave for long periods of time. With all these types of radioactivity, you are exposed to an emf (electromagnetic field). Since most people never turn off their Wi-Fi routers when they go to sleep, they are threatened by radiation almost all the time. Magnetic radiation is generated when an atom particle is boosted up by an electrical field, provoking it to move. The process creates a magnetic field which can travel in various directions to each other in a group of energy called a photon. Photons can move in waves at the fastest speed in the universe: the speed of light. The waves have a unique, given frequency, wavelength and energy. According to an experiment conducted a few years ago by a couple of girls in Denmark, plants were affected by electromagnetic radiation. We really can’t avoid technology and vulnerability to radiation. It’s everywhere. However, if you assume that an iPad or any other tablet can’t give off much radiation, you are mistaken. In fact, the French National Assembly passed a law banning tablets in nurseries in 2015. The World Health Organization named radiation a potential poison setting it in the same class with lead, considering the potential to cause cancer. Non-ionizing radiation or microwave radiation damages the brain and sperm of experimental animals. Wireless radiation has been identified with leukemia, autism, ADHD, cancer, and Alzheimer’s. Since tablets are microwave transmitters, they give off small but strong outbreaks of pulsed radiation every few seconds. Children’s rapidly developing nervous and immune systems can be severely damaged by this radiation, leading to possible brain and reproductive damage. This microwave radiation disrupts DNA, weakens the brain’s protective barrier, and releases highly unstable and damaging free radicals. The bone marrow of a child’s brain absorbs 10 times more radiation than a fully grown adult, while those of infants and toddlers will take in even higher amounts of radiation. Epidemiologic studies suggest that the risk of breast cancer is increased in women who were exposed to high levels of radioactivity during childhood. Irradiation in childhood for benign conditions including enlarged thymus, swollen tonsils, tinea capitis, acne, and others have been noted to raise the risk for thyroid cancer. Studies have indicated that these people received large-doses of x-rays. Increased radiation exposure may raise a child’s risk for future cancer. Different types of X-ray tests use various amounts of radiation.”
